do you mean you leave the vacuum cleaner running the whole time you are drilling? wow. i would be afraid that if my bit fell off the chuck (which it often does) i would suck up my bit :)

I use a dremel as well.
When I use it, I put a vacuum cleaner close to the area of cut/drilling. In this way I hope to reduce the dust in the rooms where I live.
