The problem is the fibers are tiny strands of glass, It has the same affects as Asbestos. It sticks in your lungs for the rest of your life tearing holes in the vessels and possibly leading to infections. Any mask is better then none but best to do the cutting in an area you don't live in and can clean up well afterwards or outside.
Wish I had a house with a workroom I hate stepping on wire ends that get stuck in my carpet after some DIY work in my second bedroom of my apartment.
Peace,

when drilling the holes on my pcb boards with a dremel at about half speed, is wearing one of those cheap painters masks (the kind the sell at the dollar store) and having the window open enough? or do i need to buy some kind of pro mask?
