I'm a draftsman for work (Using AutoCAD LT), and commonly need to make HPGL
files for clients. I'm not certain if the engraving files are the same as
my plot outputs, so you'll need to experiment and try this out:
All I had to do was download a driver for an HPGL plotter (I use the HP
Draftmaster II). I set it up in Windows as you would any printer /
plotter... except I check the box for "plot to file".
I can create HPGL plot files from *any* application - just choose the
"Draftmaster II" from the print menu, and set scaling to 1:1 or whatever you
need.
Maybe this will work? It's certainly worth a shot!
