[sdiy] HPGL Engraving Files??

I am using Front Panel Designer quite a bit now. But often, whenever i look at examples done by people who KNOW what they are doing, they have all these nice engravings which are called HPGL engravings.

However, when i click on the HPGL tool, it asks me to load a file. (of which I have none)

what is the deal? are these engraving tools extra? where do you import them from? are they vector objects (like from illustrator?)
