Exactly my viewpoint. By adding additional filtering inbetween you only
fuck things up more than needed to, AND waste money, boardspace and
attention form other things.

Buffer it up with a quick enought buffer/amp.

Spend more effort on anti-aliasing on the input and output. Look at
companding. Look at optimal power line and signal levels.
