Fair point, but if this is so, why build the voyager?
It's a great synth, technically superb, but musically I find it too  
perfect, too clean, to precise...

FWIW, I think the business plan for the deposits is a superb idea.
It's how I built the Monowaves when I sold them. To build a 1000 of  
something is a huge financial outlay (I suspect that a prototype  
already exists somewhere in moog already, eh Amos?), being able to  
raise the money to build the first 40-50% or so from the deposits  
alone, is a great idea.
I also think it serves as an indicator of the market interest.

and to answer someone else's question, I reckon the 1000 will shift  
VERY quickly.
I'd love one, but I don't have that kind of money.
