I have a set of about a dozen metal drawers. Each drawer is approx 6"x4"
and 15" deep with adjustable dividers (like a card catalog at a library)
Each resistor value is in a 3"x5" plastic ziplock with value written in
marker
First drawer is "ones"., and is divided into 5 "bins" sorted approximately
into decades
First bin - low values: 1R, 10R, 12R, 15R, 100R, 120R, 150R
Second bin: 1K, 1K2, 1K5, etc
Third Bin: 10K, 12K, 15K
Fourth: 100K, 120K
Fifth 1M, 1M2
I can squeeze about 6 or 8 bags of 200 resistors in each bin easily, which
is about all the space I need. I can find a value quite quickly, too.
