Hi Justin,
Ive used lasertran inkjet, and ive found that its cleared fine, however, the surface is not perfect. Slight leigions appear in the
finish, rather like the grooves on the palm of your hand.
I was using an own-brand laquer from a shop in england called halfords.
As a side note - i found the results with lasertran to be fairly consistant, but never of the quality i desired. In the end, i gave
up and started building a CNC engraver...

Subject: [sdiy] Lazertran and spray lacquer
Has anyone here ever got Lazertran inkjet to a clear (rather than frosty/opaque) finish using a spray lacquer to seal it?
Mind letting me know what brand of lacquer you were using (...and any other tips)?
I'm about to buy a can of Holts clear spray - which is recommended in the Lazertran data sheet, so I'm hoping for better results
than the Hycote lacquer I've used previously - which wasn't great.
I'll be applying the Lazertran and lacquer on an ABS box painted with Hycote auto spray...
Thanks!
Justin
