Maybe I shouldn't give away to the list why I'm looking for a round
enclosure, but ideas are to be shared not hoarded, so, why the round
enclosure you may ask??
I got a mostly-populated-and-assembled old TB3030 Oakley pcb and I'm
buying it from the friend & listmember who has been helping me learn
to synth-DIY.
I realized that I should probably make this into a SMILEY FACE
enclosure- 11 knobs is surely enough for two eyes and a mouth in black
knobs. One yellow powdercoated round enclosure should do the trick.
For those list members who aren't/weren't into acid house the classic
smiley face is a sort of ad hoc logo for the genre. I was going to
paint my enclosure with a smiley face logo in honor of Acid House but
I think the entire 3030 unit must become a smiley-synth.
Not a practical shape but, good for parties
Just waiting on a bunch of capacitors and pots to arrive so I can
finish the project and see if I can make it make some 303-esque
noises.
