Hi,
I talked a friend into buying a Hammond transformer, without having
tried on myself. I've got the datasheet, which you'll find here:
http://www.hammondmfg.com/pdf/185Insert.pdf but I'm not clear on how
to wire up the output.
What I need is for it to take 120 VAC in and output 36 VAC with a
Center Tap, so it can then be connected to a +/-15 V power supply
board. The input part is easy, since that's clearly depicted in the
datasheet. What I'm not sure about is how to wire up the output pins
to get the desired Center Tap. Do I use the series or parallel
diagram? Which pin is used for the center tap? Possibly worth noting
is that each side of the xformer has a fifth middle pin that's not
listed in the diagram. Perhaps this is the CT pin? Any help is
appreciated!
