[sdiy] 2x16 Character LCD

Im not very knowledgable on LCD diplays - 

Is there any reason why this shouldnt work with 

a) Laurie Biddulphs revision of Paul Maddox's Monowave (which im considering building sometime) (requires 2x16 etc)

and 

b) as a replacement for the PLED module of Colin Fraser's P3 (mine has the PLED, which is working fine, but if im ordering...)
