This is basically Sony's DSD but at twice the sampling rate. Major 
disadvantage is the need for conversion to do any editing of the material.
DSD itself is just the direct output of a 1-bit sigma-delta ADC (leaving 
out the 64x downsampling done in normal sigma-delta ADCs).
