[sdiy] OT: upright pianos

I seem to remember the Baldwin upright my grandmother owned had a
somewhat lighter touch than the upright my family owned.  So there are
probably differences.  However the acoustic piano I played once in a
piano/harpsichord store which was some old 1700's style forte piano
had a very light touch from what I remember.  I don't know if there
are adjustments on the complicated internal mechanisms of pianos to
alter the touch or not.
