I mentioned that in my original post, but it's not quite that simple
because I also need a positive voltage too. However between this
thread and my other "really small power supply thread", I've got
plenty of ideas for future projects. But for now, I'm going with the
Elpac +/-15 volt adapter that somebody recommended. No need to build
something for this single unit when a solution is easily purchased.
I learned today that sawing through a PCB on my table saw produces an
authentic burnt electronics smell. That smell also lingers around a
long time too. Just when the smell from a smoked Apple III power
supply from a few days back finally just about disappeared.
