[sdiy] AC Adapter - Getting Negative Voltages?

Which type are you talking about? AC coming out of the barrel plug (or
other type of plug) or DC coming out of the plug? For the AC type it's
your choice how to set up your rectifiers. For the DC type I suppose
you could reverse the leads.
ElectroHarmonix used some higher voltage single supply DC wallwarts and
floated them so they had a +- supply relative to the signal ground.
Have to use the plastic female ends for those in a metal chassis.
