Hi,
My friend was at the dump recently and intercepted a couple of things as
they were being thrown away ...
Roland SR-09 Organ/Strings synth
Simmons SDC 200 Electronic Drum Amp (just the top part, without the
speaker cab part)
At first we were quite excited about the Simmons as we thought it was an
old analog drum machine, but turns out it's just a 200W amp for a drum
machine (lots of inputs and tone controls for each).
The Roland is quite nice actually, very warm analog strings sounds, but
unfortunately has no MIDI or CV/Gate inputs so isn't really going to
work in a studio situation (not for us non-musician, sequencer
programming types anyway!) I'm sure it could be retrofitted with
CV/Gate inputs but I'm probably not going to get round to it any time soon.
So anyway, I now have these 2 items cluttering up my studio and they
need to find a home! I'm happy to give the Simmons away to anyone who'd
like to collect (South Wales, UK) or pay postage (it's quite heavy).
The Roland is probably worth a small sum (maybe £50?) - it's in good
condition (except for 1 slider cap missing), and sounds lovely,
perfectly in tune.
If interested please contact me off-list.
Cheers,
Seb
