Hallo Bob!
I still have programmers that can program the 8748 and 8749 CPUs.
The problem is that I am from Europe - so maybe the postage costs
More than everything else.
But if you can't find no other way to get a CPU programmed - maybe
it is Interesting for you.
I would only charge you the postage - programming is free for a
Serious number of chips (lets say up to ten chips).
Ciao
Peter

I've had a cpu go bad on that board. That'd be first guess. You can of course get an 8749 and burn the .bin file onto it that is pointed to from my site but the guy who could do it didn't call back when I finally got some of the chips. I need to make an adapter for my needham's machine. Does anyone know off the top how to do that? I was about to get into it a while back and got too busy. I want to get a cache of cpu's for those things here eventually since occasionally one does go bad. -Bob
