Now that I think about it further, I recall that the problem I had when I
tried to use my Dremel in a drill press attachment to drill PCBs is that the
Dremel itself did not center the bit correctly. The tip of the bit moved in
a tiny circle rather than just rotating around its center. This made
drilling holes nearly impossible because the bit tended to wander around.
Once I figured that out I switched to using a real drill press. It was sort
of surprising that a $100 Chinese-made Delta benchtop press drilled more
precisely than a Dremel supposedly built for small, precise work, but it was
the case.
