Dear Synth DIY list,
I'm going to be building a Marc Bareille project, the clone of the
Coron DS8 drum synth. I'm thinking ahead to creating a drum pad
interface for it.
Does anyone on the list have suggestions for material that is friendly
to finger-drumming but also protects the piezo? And a place to
buy/find? I'd also considered: perhaps a bouncy mouse pad would work
well as a starting material?
The electronic-drumming-scene online has various resources about
creating drum trigger pads from cannibalized drummer's "practice
pads." (such as Remo, etc.) But I would prefer to build something from
raw materials, that is also more for fingers than for drum sticks.
Suggestions are appreciated!
I'm new to the list and have been just lurking. New to synth diy
(though not a synth music newbie) and building my first projects under
supervision of some more experienced synth DIYers..!
