[sdiy] understanding a common resistor symbol

OK


sorry about this simple question BUT

i see this a lot in Electronotes so i wanted to ask,,,

(the schematic i am looking at is just one instance of this and i dont think you need to see it to answer this question. but for completeness..it is on page 11 of EN#64..figure 10..summing opamp)

in a schematic for a summing opamp/ i see these values:


R

R/N

and the confusing one :

R'

it looks like R with an  apostrophe after it.

I think R/n is the resistor value divided by  N (which in this case is I think the amount of stages in the shift register)

But i dont get the R' and i think it is keeping me from understanding quite a few diagrams ;)
