[sdiy] Brass etching using inkjet paper or press-n-peel?

Hi guys, 
I'm about to do a frontpanel in brass and I want to etch it. Is there anyone
here on the list wth brass etching experience?
It seems that the procedure is very similar to do  a pcb apart from the
etching chemicals involved..

Someone suggested I should iron (as in iron shirts) the ink-side of a inkjet
print onto the the brass and then peel the paper away and use the ink as
blocker for the acid. I've never heard of that before. Has anyone here done
that? It sounds almost to simple.

I thought of Press-n-peel and should definitely work right?
