[sdiy]Oktoberfest and LED pollution on to vintage LEDs

Ah my run on sentence.

I know that Augustiner and Tegernseer are two different breweries. I
just didn't make that clear in my lazy writing. Illiterate in two
languages....

Back (somewhat) on topic: With overbright LEDs replacing many forms of
outdoor display lighting I am guessing that light pollution (in
addition to noise and drunken Ami/Brit/etc. pollution) will be added
to the list of complaints for the festival. Driving behind any new
Audi on the Autobahn is even worse. Those red brake LEDs sear into my
skull making me half blind.

So bright LEDs are a pain on synths and as a result we are all tuning
the brightness down on the newer blue & white units. Has anyone found
an affordable source for old/vintage LEDs? Hazy, melt-y amber, deep
red and greens that you see on very old test eqpt and airplanes?

Off to see if the Spätkauf has Oktoberfest beer....
