FWIW, i recently built a drumtone board, using PAIA's PCB (still available from them)... triggered with a couple of ray wilson's drumtrigger circuits (http://www.musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth/SOUNDLABMINISYNTH/drum_trigger.html).  works fine.
