Hi list,

I tried twice to send this post
but I think my mail provider had problems last days
so they didn't make it to the list..
Anyway this post has already been sent to you but without
many replies so I need your opinions on that, please...

I'm about to chose a 'specific' pinout for
my future MAT synth supply connectors..
I'll probably use AMP 640445-x type PCB male connectors.
The number of pins is to be found..
I'll surely use some microcontrolers in some modules
with the analog chips.
I'm gonna use a supply that has:
+-15v at 3amp
+5v at 5amp
So I don't expect to generate +5v using a regulator at local +15v
since I already have it.
This would also rise up at the end the overall +15v
rail DC current.

I'm thinking of these possible pin arrangements:

# function
1 +15v
2 GND
3 -15v
4 +5v (digital)

or this

# function
1 +15v
2 GND
3 GND
4 -15v

or this

# function
1 +15v
2 analog GND (analog & digital GND's tied together only at supply
posts)
3 -15v
4 digital GND (analog & digital GND's tied together only at supply
posts)
5 +5v (digital supply)

The modules supply cables will be made of #18 AWG stranded wires.
The wires colors... not yet chosen.

Any suggestions?
Thanks
JP
