Been jumping ahead of myself a bit and thinking of applications for the
digital module I'm designing. One possible extension of the 2xD delay
might be 'sampler mode'. I spec'ed it out something like this....
(Remember that old black Akai sampler, was it S612 or something, that
had the 2 sliders to set the sample start & end points and they could be
reversed to reverse the sample? Always missed that feature on my newer
samplers...)
GATE8 = Selects delay mode or sampler mode
When in sampler mode:
GATE1 = Start/stop recording for channel 1 (up to max 3s at full sample
rate, dual mono mode)
GATE2 = Start/stop recording for channel 2 (up to max 3s at full sample
rate, dual mono mode)
GATE3 = Start/stop playback for channel 1
GATE4 = Start/stop playback for channel 2
GATE5 = Select one shot or loop mode for channel 1
GATE6 = Select one shot or loop mode for channel 2
GATE7 = Channel mode:
GATE7=0 - Dual mono (max 3s sampling time per channel)
GATE7=1, GATE6=0 - Single mono (max 6s sampling time,
channel 2 control signals ignored)
GATE7=1, GATE6=1 - Stereo (max 3s sampling time per channel,
both channels ganged together,
channel 2 control signals ignored)
CV1 = Playback start point for channel 1
CV2 = Playback start point for channel 2
CV3 = Playback end point for channel 1
CV4 = Playback end point for channel 2
Playback start and end point can be reversed to play backwards
CV5 = Recording sample rate for channel 1 (Full, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 -
allows up to 48s per channel)
CV6 = Recording sample rate for channel 2 (Full, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 -
allows up to 48s per channel)
CV7 = 1V/Oct pitch control channel 1 (audio is resampled to new pitch on
playback)
CV8 = 1V/Oct pitch control channel 2 (audio is resampled to new pitch on
playback)
Can anyone think of more functions for the remaining control inputs??
Seb
