Hmmm.... admittedly, the geofex article does only cover the volume control
case.
But, intuitively, I would think that putting a resistor from wiper to one
end, and choosing values carefully, will move you closer to anti log
happiness.
Fortunately, there are some proper mathematicians on this list, maybe they
will chime in.

The extra resistor thing only works if you are using the pot as a
potential divider [eg. like in a traditional volume control] and not a
variable resistor [ie. only two terminals used] like the Moog ladder.
