Interesting, If I remove capcitor C1 from this circuit and sub a high value 
resistor for the zener then this circuit is almost identical.

IIRC I found when I was working on these that capacitor C1 enhanced the 
noise amplitude. I will have to see what happens if I remove it.

I should try Sam HOSHUYAMA's circuit, though I already have far more noise 
sources than I would ever use together.
