[sdiy] three way switch question

Dan,

7211 switches are unique in the way their middle position behaves. It  
is like one pole is in each of the outer positions. If you wire it as  
I have shown on my page it is a 3 ways selector, but it can also do  
some other tricks. They are expensive, but also available with solder  
lugs.
