sorry if this post is off topic.
just thought some of you you might be interested in the following
concert, as I think it isn't that often that you get an Ondes Martenot
being played on stage ?

**Royal Festival Hall. Saturday November 8th, 2008 at 7.30pm.**

On Saturday 8th November, 2008 at 7.30pm at the Royal Festival Hall,
there will be a special concert with an 80-piece orchestra to celebrate
the centenary of the birth of British film & TV composer *Barry Gray*.
Gray wrote much of the music for the film and television series of Gerry
Anderson, including _Thunderbirds_, _Stingray_, _Captain Scarlet_, _Joe
90_, _UFO_ and _Space: 1999_.
The concert is in aid of the Cinema & Television Benevolent Fund. The
event will be presented by actor *Brian Blessed*. Producer Gerry
Anderson will be present.
The concert will feature guest musicians including:
* British jazz Hammond organist *Pete Whittaker* playing iconic
music from the cult 60s sci-fi TV series _UFO_;
* from Paris, *Pascale Rousse-Lacordaire* on Ondes Martenot (an
early French electronic musical instrument), playing solos from
the film _Doppelganger_, including the beautiful piece 'Sleeping
Astronauts in Space';
* vocal ensemble '*Voces8*', who will be performing vocal parts from
_Captain Scarlet_ and _Stingray_ among music from other shows.
