I'm hardly an expert, but I've seen a lot of different RF circuits.
In ham radio, I can't think of seeing any of them used.  I went and
did a search of the QST archives.  Most of it has to do with RF noise
and killing that.  One case was referring to a critter deterring
device with a flashing neon lamp producing RF noise. I'm not certain
there's much else to it.
