I don't know because I've used Google newsgroups only for reading. See what your posting
options are, if you can put a fake one in, I would do that.
I've been using a copy of Free Agent I've had for many years which still works under XP...
Because I use it only for reading and posting to USENET and never for email, I can afford
to put in a fake email address and leave it that way. I don't know if Free Agent is still
available...
