I *knew* people would have different preferences ;) I like using 0,6mm
bit for ICs, 1/4" resistors, signal diodes, small caps ect. tight, but
not too tight fit. But this drill bit size also fits my "normal"
electric hand drill, which I use with drill press attachment adjusted
for few mm action, so drill bit just flies over the pcb.

After few carefully drilled holes, it really speeds up the process as
You learn to be confident on visual inspection that the drill bit is
really "spot on".
