I dunno... I made a chorus pedal based on tonepad.com's Small Clone clone
(get it? I called mine The Small Clown...) that worked perfectly and
noiselessly the first time I fired it up. And this was on a solder
protoboard from Radio Shack.

On the other hand I tried something like 3 times to make John Hollis'
Ultraflanger and I could never get it to work properly and it was a simpler
circuit.

I'm wondering what kind of circuit the original poster wnats to make:
flanger or chorus or something else? You could looks at factory schematics
from commercial products and oick out one that looks reasonably simple for
you. The Boss BF2 Flanger and the Ibanez BC10 come to mind as pedals that
use MN3207's. The latter's design is a little more complex but for good
reasons. There is an MN3207 version of John Hollis' Zombie Chorus too -
which is pretty simple and a pretty popular circuit.
