I suppose solderless breadboards are something that opinions will differ on.
And that is because, different people do different things with them.
Personally, I'm too clumsy to use them - but that's another matter.
What is undeniable, is that there is a certain amount of stray capacitance
and inductance and even high-resistance leakage associated with them.
Some worse than others.
It's not likely to be a problem at audio frequencies, but when you get up
higher, or if you have very high impedance circuit points - you can find
trouble.
Personally, I prefer to use stripboard. It may be slower (though not for
me!) but, when it works, I have a finished board ;D

(if you DO want to use solderless boards, put them on a slab of wood or
something & run a metal L section beside it, with holes to mount pots &
switches.)
