Thanks for all your help and suggestions, I'll check for cables that are inserted the wrong way and "creative" soldering jobs!

Or off the fdisk page linked from the

gather every general resource on the web there so that people don't have 
to ...like I say get sidetracked learning about Mormon history when they 
are looking for information on a Prophet 5 :-)  Please notify me if
