Hi,
I recently picked a Roland System 100 Model 101 and 102. Basically both
in a good state; some switches and pots will need care, but I am used to
do this. What I never did until now is a basic cleaning of the housing
of such an old synth. The synths are optically without a scratch, but
have the dirt of 30 years on them.
I think normal sponges for dishes are not a good thing for cleaning a 30
years old synth surface.
I got one hint, that laying the housing some hours it in water with
cleaner tabs for dental protheses should clean the typical dust and
dirt, but will not touch the plastic and the surface paintwork.
Do you have any experiences with this method? Or how do you clean stuff
like this?
Florian
