Another option is to buy the Kurzweil PC2 ribbon and make your own
controller. This ribbon is actually three segments so you can have
three independent ribbons. Use a CVS PCB as a dedicated controller.
There is software written for a ribbon controller so you can modify
it for your own needs.
The CVS supports MIDI so that would be easy to add. There is even
software for MIDI merge so you could integrate the ribbon into a MIDI
stream. The software is Basic so it's pretty easy to adapt.
I have both an Expressionmate and a CVS ribbon.
