[sdiy] OT: TASCAM 22-4 rtr help

greetings all,

i have a tascam 22-4 4 track reel to reel that i just aquired with a speed 
control problem. the 15ips is fine, the 7.5ips is wonky. there is a servo 
circuit which given enough time i could reverse engineer but i thought i 
would ask if someone has the roadmaps or some wisdom about this unit. i 
searched on-line and was treated to a few vendors of the service manual. 
buying it would take even longer and more $.

to keep it slightly on-topic i do plan on feeding the signals from my 
homebuilt analogs

unit to get some of that 'super fat tape compression'!
