Okay, my analysis:

The 50 something's are the Moog, ELP, Yes, (Pink Floyd?) influenced group.

The 40 something's are the Music Video (MTV) influenced group.

The 30 something's are evenly distributed so I have no guesses there.

So why the cluster  at 28?
