I met the founder of Peak Electronics when we were both at Sheffield 
University in the early '90s and can confirm that he is a very pleasant 
chap! He showed me a transistor tester which he had had published in ETI or 
Practical Electronics magazine and, when I saw the Peak products years 
later, the family resemblance was obvious. From little acorns, and all 
that...
