[sdiy] 606 weirdness - help

This might sound kind of dumb, but I had a 606 that would do similar
things when the batteries were removed. Basically, it would go back
into a reset state, and all the pattern lengths would be set to 1
step. Try erasing and then rewriting a pattern, first setting the
pattern length to the full 16 steps. Apologies if this seems obvious
and you've already looked into it. It baffled me for a minute when it
happened.
