So, I'm a soon-to-be-proud-and-loving-owner-of.
So, has anyone noticed that the Q+ very conveniently has DIMM-style
sockets that the filters are in? :)
Possible uses:
1. swap for hpf
2. swap for svf and mod the dsp to allow selection of mode
3. add external inputs per filter and mod dsp to allow coupling the
midi channel # with the analog input #: ain1 - mixed with what goes
from midi chan #1. ain2 - midi ch2. etc! Then you can take a guitar
with a guitar synth pickup, have the guitar synth control the pitches
(of the filters, oscillators, etc), and feed string sounds from the
guitar itself, separately!
4. swap for moog lpf?
5. swap for lpf with distortion? :)
5b. create a 'pass-through' which goes into the filter socket and
accepts the filter in another socket: the pass through would only have
the distortion
6. This probably won't work, but hey, 16x JH string filters? :P
As far as the filters in the Q+ go... I have no idea if they're copied
from a classic design, or if they're proprietary, but... I just love
them!
