Thanks for the patent update, etc., Harry.

I see that Axon now offers a Seymour Duncan-designed hex pickup:

Have you tried a Graph Tech GHOST system?  "Hexapiezos" in the bridge 
with optional 13-pin output. Seems very nice, though I've not tried it.

The consensus among VG-88 users is that piezos (in GK-compatible 
guitars from Godin and others) are best for acoustic and synth 
sounds, whereas the GK pickups are better for electric sounds. That's 
not too surprising, because the GK pickups use magnets and coils just 
like "normal" guitar pickups.

The VG-99 is very tempting, too, by the way!

Axon used to make a hex splitter -- separate outputs for each string 
-- but I don't see it on their website. I guess it's just a bunch of 
buffer circuits, but who wants to solder DIN-13 jacks?!

Moog guitar (with a different body) + hex pickup + VG99 = my dream guitar  :-)
