That is correct, surely there is no shelf life problem?
I bought these for a project that was only realised this year.

The bottom line is that the 726s offered did not work, they are still 
advertised
with the same batch number on HKSS shop, buy some if you want, I am sure 
you will be dissapointed, I am just trying to be helpful and maybe 
preventing other people getting stung.
