That looks like a euro 6mm pot shaft and a 1/4 inch (6.3mm) knob to me.

The results can vary from clean tight fit (collet knobs, if they can be
fastened far enough), or an off-center knob (long screw) to sloppy (if
any) seating (screw too short).

The other way is more difficult. Most 6mm knobs simply dont fit on 1/4
inch shafts at all. However, years ago, I used some 1/4 inch multi-turn
pots for osc freq setting, and simply used the same 6mm collet knobs as
for the other 6mm pots. Those knobs could only be screwed about half a
turn, but nevertheless were perfectly seated, exactly centered.
