I don't know of any synths that use it, although perhaps the Tim Orr 
designed Transcendants may well have done. However, it was standard 
practice where I worked to add the RC differentiator in the feedback 
loop when using these things in the early 80s. You would often need to 
add a start up pulse too to make sure the circuit started correctly at 
power up.

We used the topology in various test equipment stuff both at Marconi and 
Soundcraft. I don't know where the original idea came from though.
