Hello,

To Quantix-8 builders :

There is an interesting pin to pin compatible chip for the Quantix-8 memory :

 - MAXIM DS1250Y - 4096Kb Non-volatile SRAM 70ns.

A 3V long life battery is integrated to the DS1250Y, so there is no need of an
external one. No more need of the battery socket and a low voltage drop diodes.
