[sdiy] Looking for odd stomp-switch replacement

Karl,

I've used these for stomp boxes sometimes to save space:

They're DPDT, so you could wire them the way you describe. The body  
height is only 12mm, and the pins stick out another 2 or 3mm. Made by  
Alpha, so you'll probably find them other places besides Maplin.
