Not really.  I like to use a short but finite driving pulse (eg, 5ms) into 
the EG to provide an AD envelope with a bit of a flattop.  This gives an AD 
with some extra punch.  Other than that, just think in terms of driving a 
sequencer, where the desired AR envelope is just whatever you want for the 
sound you are creating.
