[sdiy] Reasonable SMT Stations?

The AVR-X PCBs are slowly moving their way to the top of my DIY pile and I
have to say I'm not looking forward to them as they are all SMT.  Is anyone
making a SMT soldering station yet that isn't an insane amount of money?  It
seems this is where things are going so maybe I should just get the tools
and save myself the headache.
